Privacy Policy

Gatebase is designed as a Mac app for SSH and server monitoring. This policy explains what the app keeps on your device, what may be handled by Apple, and how support information should be shared.

Data we do not collect

Gatebase does not require an account, phone number, or sign-in. The app does not collect or upload server addresses, usernames, passwords, private keys, command output, terminal output, or server configuration to any Gatebase backend.

Information stored on your device

Server records and app settings are stored locally on your device. Passwords, private keys, and sensitive secret material are stored using Apple Keychain in release builds.

SSH connections

Gatebase connects to the servers you configure. Network traffic for SSH sessions, command execution, file transfer, and health checks is directed to your selected servers or jump hosts, not to any Gatebase cloud service.

Backups and imports

If you export or import backup files, those files are created or read through user-selected locations on your Mac. You control where backup files are stored and whether you share them.

Purchases

Paid features are handled through Apple App Store and StoreKit. Apple may process purchase information according to Apple's own policies. Gatebase does not use a custom billing backend for the App Store release.

Diagnostics and support

If you choose to export diagnostics for support, the diagnostic export is designed to contain summary information only. You should not send passwords, private keys, full terminal logs, or sensitive command output in support requests.

Data retention and deletion

Gatebase stores app data locally on your Mac. You can delete local server records inside the app, remove stored secrets from Apple Keychain, delete exported backup files from the locations where you saved them, or uninstall the app. Because Gatebase does not operate an account backend for the App Store release, there is no Gatebase cloud account data to delete.

Third-party services

The App Store and StoreKit are provided by Apple. If you download, purchase, restore, or manage Gatebase through the Mac App Store, Apple's terms and privacy policies apply to those App Store actions.

Changes

This policy may be updated as Gatebase changes. The latest version will be available on this page.
